A Letter from Nick & Danielle
Hello! We are overjoyed that you have clicked on our profile and we would love to get to know you. We live a life of faith, fun, and adventure, filled with lots of laughter and love. We value kindness, compassion, and hard work. We promise to raise your child with those values in mind, instilling in them the importance of having a kind heart, being humble, and working hard in everything they do. We both strongly believe in the importance of education, as we both have earned Master’s Degrees. Your child will have a fully paid college education due to our service to our country. We will create an environment where your child will always be learning and developing, giving them every opportunity to do anything they want with their life and the ability to chase their dreams. Our hearts are open to you and your child – always.
Our story started when we met eight years ago one night in our small college town – we have been together ever since. We both come from large Christian families who we are very close with. We love spending time together with them. We also have our “Navy family,” as we both have careers in the United States Navy. We have lived in Jacksonville, FL, San Diego, CA and now Norfolk, VA. Every place we have ever lived we have had members of our “Navy family” living there, waiting to reconnect with us, their kids included! While Nick occasionally goes out to sea on ships, Danielle has ended that part of her career in order to be able to stay home with kids.
What our weeks look like:
We love spending time together and, during the week, we make it a priority to cook and have a family dinner together every evening. We look forward to continuing this tradition with our child, as we both have fond memories of sharing meals with family growing up. In the evening, we enjoy going for bike rides and walks around our neighborhood with our two sweet dogs (black labs – Harlow & Penelope). We can’t wait to add bubble baths, reading bedtime stories and snuggling to our evening routine!
What our weekends look like:
We spend a lot of time at the beach which is just across the street from our house. Our dogs love when we take them to the park which is only two blocks away. We also love spending time with our friends and neighbors – at the local farmer’s market, on days spent at the beach, at our home watching Sunday Football games, and on pizza night making pizzas in our neighbors’ outdoor pizza oven. Our community is so excited for us to adopt a child to grow up with their kids, as we continue to all make memories together!
We built our 4-bedroom house last year with our growing family in mind. We have a nursery set up and ready, but can’t wait to customize it with the baby’s name written above the crib. Our home has a wonderful backyard with lots of room to play and our loft is set up as a playroom, already filled with baby toys. As we mentioned, we live across the street from the beach and have a park just two blocks over from us. We are surrounded by a supportive community of family and friends, both inside and outside of our local church. Our neighborhood is filled with wonderful, fun loving people from all walks of life, and their children. Most of our friends have young kids and we are excited for our future children to grow up alongside them!
Danielle is the most caring, intelligent, and attentive person I have ever met. She never forgets a birthday or special occasion and has a heart for others – she always goes the extra mile for people. Danielle grew up with her Mom, Dad and her younger brother, Brandon, in a small town on Long Island, New York.
Danielle has a vibrant laugh, a warm personality, and a strong work ethic. She strives for excellence in all that she does and helps others achieve their goals. The one thing she has always wanted in her life is to become a mother – from the time she was a very little girl playing with baby dolls, becoming a mom has been a driving force in Danielle’s life. She has a natural intuition when it comes to children that can’t be taught as it comes from her passion for them.
Danielle loves to design and her creative mind is always shining through with fun, new ideas for making our house into a home. She has her own home design Instagram account which she pursues in her free time. She loves to travel – she has been to 30 countries and 46 states! So traveling to wherever you are in the country will never be an issue. She enjoys baking delicious sweets but her speciality is homemade pizza, which she makes for our family every Friday night. She also loves being outside and at the beach. She loves going on walks and can’t wait to be pushing a stroller along with her. She has a beautiful singing voice and I can’t wait to watch her as she sings to our future child.
Danielle will definitely instill a strong work ethic in our child, in addition to showing them the joy of helping others in need and the importance of having faith. She is an amazing woman, an amazing wife, and I know she will be an amazing mother.
Nick is one of the most kind-hearted, hardworking, and intelligent people I have ever met. He grew up as an only child with his Mom and Dad in Puyallup, Washington. He has always wanted to have a big family of his own someday.
In his career, he sets high goals for himself and works hard to achieve them. When not working hard at work, he enjoys working hard in the weight room, working on home projects, going on hikes, camping, and keeping a healthy lifestyle. He can frequently be seen “jamming out” to his favorite music (rock) that he loves to blast throughout our house. He can’t wait to share all of his passions with our future child.
As hard as he works at his job, he works even harder when it comes to family. Nick values family over everything and it shows through his words and actions. He is SO excited to be a dad and I am so excited for him to pass on these values to our child. He is a man of great faith which guides him every day. It is very apparent to me that he will be a wonderful dad!
Family is everything to us. In addition to our large extended families, filled with great-grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, our child will have two sets of loving grandparents. Our child will be our parent’s first grandchild and our grandparent’s first great-grandchild- they are all thrilled! They are excited to spoil our child with love and affection.
Nick’s parents are looking forward to sharing with your child their love for music, trivia, baking, and personal relationships. Danielle’s parents are looking forward to teaching your child everything from boating and cooking, to gardening and art, as well as teaching them the little things that are often overlooked using their lifetime of experiences. Danielle’s brother is looking forward to becoming the “cool uncle” and spending time teaching them everything they could ever want to know about movies, sports, jet-skis, dirt-bikes, and mechanical engineering.
We love spending time with our families on special occasions weekends, holiday gatherings, and family vacations. It is always a great time when we can all get together – we can’t wait for our child to join in on the fun!
We are committed to giving everything we have to raising your child. We promise to give them a wonderful childhood, we promise to give them everything they need to be able to chase their dreams and we promise to love them unconditionally. Your child’s education is a priority to us. Because of our service, we each have a fully paid undergraduate college degree which we plan to give our child or children to the college of their choosing!
We would love to get to know you and build a relationship where we can all support one another throughout this journey. If you’d like, we welcome continued contact with you. You will always be spoken of in love and this child will always know how we all came together through love.
Thinking of you, Danielle & Nick

|More About Our Family|
We value kindness, compassion, and hard work. We hope to raise a child with our values in mind, instilling in them the importance of having a kind heart, being humble, and working hard in everything they do.
We both strongly believe in the importance of education, as we both have master’s degrees. Because of our service to the nation, we are both eligible for the Post 9/11 GI Bill, which gives each of us a fully paid undergraduate college degree - two free college educations! Since we both already have degrees we have set these aside to ensure our children’s college is paid for. Additionally, we both believe in the importance of sports and team building activities, as we both played Division One college lacrosse.
We believe in the value of learning about other cultures, in our own neighborhood and around the world, which is why traveling is an active part of our life. With our careers in the Navy, we have been given the opportunity to travel all over the world - to Europe, Asia, the Middle East, South America, Australia and Africa. We plan on continuing to travel the world, always bringing our children along with us.
Faith is an important part of our lives. While struggling for many years with infertility and pregnancy loss, we really relied on our faith to get us through those challenging times. Today our faith is stronger than ever because of it. We belong to a local Catholic church not far from our home. We have always known we wanted adoption to be part of our family – we just didn’t know when. After years of infertility, several rounds of IVF, and pregnancy loss (our baby girl and our twins), we feel God is telling us now is the time.
We have carried a lot of family traditions from our own upbringings into our own family. Here are some of our family traditions:
Friday night pizza and movie night: On Fridays we make homemade pizza together and then eat it while watching a movie on the couch. Sometimes followed by ice cream - on Friday nights we treat ourselves!
Paella Celebrations: Danielle's grandparents immigrated to the U.S. from Spain and brought with them much of their culture. To this day, we enjoy coming together to cook paella, a Spanish rice dish. We have a large paella dish and enjoy cooking together as a family in the backyard!
Family vacations: We try to travel as often as we can to new places, but there are some vacations we do over and over! Every summer we (try to) travel to Montauk to spend a week at the beach with Danielle’s entire side of the family. We try to go on a ski trip every winter with Danielle’s parents and brother. And, of course, Disney World! We can’t wait to bring our child to Disney World someday.
Holiday Traditions and Birthdays: We love our holiday traditions and are always looking for opportunities to create new ones! On New Years Eve we play board games until the ball drops, on the 4th of July we host a big party at our house and watch the fireworks, and for Christmas traditions, well there are too many to document!
While the annual Army Navy Football Game isn’t a holiday in all households, in our house it is. Every year we host a big party at our home to watch the game with all of our Navy family and friends.
For birthdays, the birthday person gets to choose their favorite meal and cake of their choosing!
We believe in working hard but we also believe in having FUN. Here are a few things we like to do for fun:
Going to the beach: Living just blocks away from the beach lets us go very frequently! We love to meet up with friends and family there. Sometimes we even bring the pups!
Hiking: We love to go hiking - mostly for the views at the top!
Camping: We love to travel to different National Parks throughout the country to go camping - it is truly an amazing experience! We are looking forward to having our little one join us!
Bike Riding: We love to ride our beach cruisers on the beach and around our neighborhood!
Traveling: With our careers in the Navy, we have been given the opportunity to travel all over the world - to Europe, Asia, the Middle East, South America, Australia and Africa. We plan on continuing to travel the world, always bringing our children along with us. We try to take an international vacation once per year and travel throughout the United States as often as we can. We can’t wait for our children to travel with us!
Going out to dinner or to the movies: We love to go out to dinner and try new restaurants in our neighborhood. We are also avid movie-goers and always love to go see new releases in theaters. We can’t wait to take our future children to see Disney and Pixar movies!
